Cardiff Vineyard Church

storehouse-header

The Storehouse Project is part of Cardiff Vineyard Church, and we are passionate about seeing our city transformed by the love of Jesus. Through the Storehouse Project we want to demonstrate His love practically, and by working with other agencies across Cardiff we provide essential household furniture to those who have less.

The Storehouse Project is centred around 3 values:

Restoring Hope: We want to bring hope to people who are living in hopeless situations. Through the provision of furniture we want to, in some small way, make a difference to their home and circumstances.

Restoring Dignity: We treat everyone we support with dignity and respect. We welcome everyone, whatever their situation, and through this we want to restore a sense of self-worth and confidence.

Restoring Lives: We want to see homes restored, and ultimately lives restored by the love of Jesus. We believe that a relationship with Him transforms lives, and want to share this with people and provide an opportunity for them to explore this further.

How it works SQUAREHow it works

We work with several different agencies and charities in Cardiff, in particular the Welsh Refugee Council, Innovate Trust, Hafan Cymru and the YMCA, who all refer clients to us. Once we have received a referral we will arrange a home visit with a couple of our volunteers and a client, where our team will meet with the client, and show them online what furniture we have available. Once the client has chosen what furniture they would like, we will aim to deliver it, for free, the following week.

The items we are able to provide are: Beds, Chests of Drawers, Sofas, Armchairs, Dining tables and chairs, Fridges, Freezers, and Microwaves. We rely on the generous donations of others and almost all of our furniture is donated.

Blend is our community coffee morning, which we run once a month at The Gate, in Roath. This is a chance for our clients and others in the community to come together, enjoy a free cuppa and some cake, and get to know each other! We hope that over 2017 this will grow to include a women's group and language café, so watch this space....

Blend happens every Saturday. Drop in between 10:30am - 12pm at Trinity Centre, CF24 0LD
